Meet Sabela

Hello! My name is Sabela and I am in my second year of the International Baccalaureate at UWC Red Cross Nordic in Norway, where I study on a scholarship. I come from A Pontenova, in the Río Eo, Oscos and Terras de Burón Biosphere Reserve, a territory that is part of who I am.

I am interested in diplomacy, international relations and politics as tools to transform society, build agreements and address the great challenges of our time. I believe that listening to different perspectives, debating with sound arguments and working as a team are essential steps towards finding shared solutions.

I have taken part in three MUN conferences and I am especially excited to help launch this one. I want to contribute to young people in our area developing their talent, discovering new perspectives and gaining skills such as leadership, critical thinking, communication and negotiation, without having to leave their territory to access these kinds of experiences.

I am very much looking forward to sharing this experience with you and showing that from our villages we can also have a dialogue, build agreements and drive change.
